Masaba, J14
Masaba will be highlighting its patented portable Magnum Telescoping Radial Stacking Conveyor and Low-Profile Drive-Over Truck Unloader. The Magnum telescoping conveyor will
extend and retract, as well as travel radially, to provide versatility and efficiency in loading a variety of vessels. Its onsite portability also allows it to be moved between loading points, for additional versatility. An important feature that sets the Magnum apart amongst telescoping conveyors is its patented Masaba GEN2 Track Technology, which delivers constant positive traction and smooth operation of the stinger. Available in a single or dual drive, this ensures engagement between the stinger teeth and drives, improving long-term durability and minimising required maintenance. Additional Magnum Track drive benefits include eliminating cable maintenance issues associated with winch systems – and the associated danger of cable breakage and uncontrolled rollback. Masaba’s load roller supports also ensure equal load distribution, minimising fatigue stress on critical components. In addition, its Low-Profile Drive-Over Truck Unloader is designed for quick unloading of material from belly or end-dump trucks in a matter of minutes, without the need for the truck or a loader to drive onto or even approach the stockpile. The key benefits are savings in labour and fuel, along with reduction of repeat material handling and improved cycle times. Worker safety is increased with the optional wireless remote control, while maintenance is reduced thanks to self-cleaning ramps. When paired together, the Masaba Magnum
and Truck Unloader comprise a customisable automated system that maximises output and performance by eliminating the double handling of material during the loading of barges and ships. As compared to stationary, fixed systems, these portable machines can work within a smaller footprint, and they also reduce an operation’s capital expenses.
