Breakbulk Americas brings the industry together for what promises to be another excellent event. Dockside Lift & Move highlights some of the best reasons why you should be a part of it.
aking place in Houston, TX from 30 September to 2 October, Breakbulk Americas promises
three days of networking, learning and doing business.
Beyond the show floor While the exhibition is rightly the main attraction, there is also plenty happening away from the show floor. There are two all-day workshops taking
place on the first day of the event. The first looks at enhancing your heavy lift industry knowledge and is designed for professionals involved in the transport and logistics of project cargo. The second workshop will explore the
potential of AI applications – a hot topic across our industry. This session aims to demystify AI by providing real-world applications in transport engineering, vessel operations and

supply chain tracking. Participants can learn how companies are using AI for efficiency gains, risk mitigation and automation without replacing the human element. Attendance is not covered by your entry
ticket; there is an additional fee – and you must book in advance. Meanwhile, the Breakbulk Main Stage will showcase business opportunities, strategy and aim to answer to the most pressing industry questions. It will feature leading breakbulk and project cargo executives who will provide insights into the latest business and trade intelligence. The programme also promises to delve deeper into key markets, sectors and issues affecting the whole supply chain. Taking place over two days, the main stage talks will analyse industry megatrends, the global project market outlook and highlight the next breakbulk and project cargo business opportunities.
Women in breakbulk The event’s Women in Breakbulk programme has gone from strength to strength since its launch four years ago. This year’s lunch promises insights into a rapidly changing landscape, while the skill- building session will focus on collaboration – an essential tool in both strategic planning and daily operations. The lunch event takes place on day one, enabling members to make new connections right from the outset of the show, with the option to continue these conversations in the Women in Breakbulk Lounge. It includes expert talks on procurement and tariffs, LNG projects and initiatives around stimulating US shipbuilding. After lunch, an industry panel that will share real-world stories of collaboration from across the breakbulk sector, followed by a team challenge to solve industry inspired scenarios.
The main event The main reason so many industry figures attend is of course the trade show. In fact, it was so successful last year that 91% of exhibitors rebooked for 2025. At Dockside Lift & Move, we have compiled a list of companies we feel are well worth a visit.
