rane Check Lifting Services has installed a ceiling mounted light crane system with a 10 meter run, with
to be ceiling mounted to maximise floor area for machinery to be installed. Completed with our Liftket 071/54 3 phase electric chain hoist,” said Stewart Kealy, MD, Crane Check Lifting Services. “These light crane and hoist systems
are very popular with our pharmaceutical and manufacturing clients due to their low cost and versatility.” Based in Dublin, Ireland, Crane Check Lifting Services Limited specialise in the design and installation of all types of crane and material handling systems and they are the agents in Ireland for Liftket Hoists as well as providing solutions for other lifting applications. “We were contacted by Cadbury’s head engineer, Brendan Mulholland and asked to visit their site to recommend and design a light crane system for the new maintenance workshop. This was our first time working together with Cadbury’s,” added Kealy. “The design stage, including
fabrication and the site visit, took a little over five weeks with installation, testing and commissioning completed by our engineers over a further two days. “The main challenge for this project
was that the support stools were ceiling mounted so we had to be certain the chemical mortar and fasteners were adequate to take the load. “As with all projects where chemical
mortar and fasteners are required, we requested the services of Hilti Engineering to advise us on the correct products to use. The client was very pleased that we used a reputable and reliable product as Hilti.” Kealy said it is always interesting to
see new technologies developing within the industry and at Crane Check Lifting it is always open to receiving new products from manufactures. “We are currently coming to the end stage of a supply and installation project for a plastics manufacturing client based in County Wicklow, Ireland where we designed, fabricated and installed two underslung crane systems with our Liftket hoists to accompany new machinery on a production line,” he added. ●
