Business Car Awards 2023 Meet the judges Martyn Collins Manufacturer, supplier and fleet awards


Editor of Business Car for two years, Martyn has reported on the fleet industry since 2014. During a 23-year journalism career, Martyn has worked across a wide spectrum of the motoring media, both on and offline.


Andy Cutler Manufacturer awards


Andy is forecast editor for Glass’s Information Services, which includes the UK’s oldest vehicle price guide. He has worked in the automotive industry for more than 35 years, having trained as an automotive engineer before moving into the vehicle contract hire industry. He has been at Glass’s for 13 years and works very closely with most manufacturers with regards to new products and residual values.


Dale Eynon Supplier and fleet awards


Dale is director of Defra group fleet services at the Environment Agency, and received the Business Car Award for Fleet Manager of the Year in 2022. He has worked in the Environment Agency fleet department since 2005.


Simon Harris Manufacturer awards


Head of valuations for UK Vehicle Data, Simon previously spent three years as editor of Business Car. During a 25-year journalism career, he won multiple awards as Headlineauto Business Writer of the Year, and Newspress Automotive Business Journalist of the Year. He is chair of the Guild of Motoring Writers and Welsh Motoring Writers.


Paul Hollick Supplier and fleet awards Chairman of the Association of Fleet Professionals (AFP) and managing director at Lightfoot, Paul is a


recognised industry figure, panellist and presenter at various domestic and international conferences. He is widely regarded as an expert in MAAS/big data/telematics solutions and managing businesses


to reach the peak of their potential. He has had a diverse career, having had senior board roles within retail, OEM, leasing, fleet management, fuel, mobility and technology businesses.


Peter Jardine Supplier and fleet awards


Winner of the Business Car Award for Fleet Manager of the Year in 2019, and an AFP committee member, Peter Jardine is group fleet director at estate agency Connells Group, where he has worked in the fleet department for more than 12 years. Prior to that, he worked in rental and operations manager roles in the motor industry for General Motors.


Mark Jowsey Manufacturer awards


A highly experienced automotive industry consultant with more than 20 years in total cost of ownership and residual values, Mark has provided operating cost data for Business Car vehicle reviews for almost as long, during his time heading up TCO at Auto Trader, KeeResources and Emmox. Previously spending nine years running corporate sales development programmes for several vehicle manufacturers, he started his automotive career in a range of fleet sales roles with major dealer groups.


Sean Keywood Manufacturer, supplier and fleet awards


Sean has been a member of the Business Car team for almost six years, and currently serves as deputy editor. Sean’s work has been recognised with a Rising Star trophy in the 2019 Newspress Awards, followed up with being selected as a finalist in the 2020 and 2022 Newspress Awards for Automotive Business Journalist of the Year.


Martin Ward Manufacturer awards Martin started in the motor industry in 1971 as a car salesman, and in 1988 joined CAP, where he


worked for 32 years and was a founding member of CAP Monitor. He is now doing consulting work and working part-time for UK Vehicle Data, advising on new vehicle data and RVs. He is also helping to run a 40-strong fleet for a local company, advising on legal matters, leasing deals, driver training and sourcing vehicles.
