RCD Types
Type A: Ensures tripping for residual AC currents and pulsating DC currents. Where loads produce DC currents such as electric vehicle chargers and washing machines, and where current has the ability to flow in two directions through the device.
Type B: Ensures tripping for residual AC currents, pulsating DC and smooth residual DC currents, suitable for PV application, inverters and Electric vehicle charging equipment with smooth DC greater than 6mA, and where current has the ability to flow in two directions through the device.
Type B+HP: Providing tripping for residual AC currents, pulsating DC, smooth residual DC currents, and high frequency DC currents. Developed specifically for Heat Pump applications. Incorporating inbuilt surge to handle initial inverter startups preventing nuisance tripping. 150mA minimum tripping threshold for frequencies greater than 1kHz. Bidirectional, Double Pole.
