Culture Of Kindness When Advanced Self Storage took over the Advanced Storage Center portfolio, the facilities, including the Squamish location, received more than just a new brand, logo, and signage. The company revamped the proper- ties’ philosophy. “We believe in kindness and care for our customers,” Juneja says. “We are building a culture of kindness.”
And that kindness is extended to everyone who steps onto the site, including employees, vendors, and custom- ers. Juneja also reveals that the company’s executives are more hands-on than others, with senior-level team members pitching in to ensure goals are met; being willing to do any job is a must!
Starting with a coffee station in the office, visitors are greeted with warm smiles and complimentary beverages. Advanced Self Storage of Squamish has three full-time employees and one part-time employee to provide the courteous services its customers have come to expect since its grand re-opening.
Juneja states that Squamish is a small community consisting of individuals who prefer in-person communica- tion. Therefore, having friendly faces within the facility
has been paramount to its success. He gives the Squamish team credit for making their visitors feel welcome from the beginning, when they took to the streets to shine a positive light on Advanced Self Storage and its wide array of services. They were responsible for building a reputation of caring within the community. The Advanced Self Storage team also provided numerous facility tours for residents who were interested in knowing what the company offers. “People want to know what’s going on in their commu-
nity,” he says. “We found great people to work at the site and spread the word about the facility.” The message they were disseminating: Advanced Self Storage is focused on service. With the goal of becoming a resource hub for the community, they also joined the local chamber of commerce to connect with other business profes- sionals and promote the property. “We want local businesses to be successful,” says Juneja. “That is beneficial for everyone.”
