MASTER THIS: ACCOUNTING & ANALYTICS
Stackable credentials – check! CPA exam ready – check! STEM designated – check! The College of Business & Technology’s Master of Science in Accounting and Analytics (MSAA) program offers an innovative curriculum with flexible classes to fit your schedule. This 30-credit program includes four core courses in accounting, four core courses in analytics, professional exam reviews, and two electives. Students can expect to develop skills in four key areas—teamwork, organizational leadership, financial analysis, and business analytics.
During the Fall 2025 semester, students in ACCT 602 with Dr. Han Dai practiced the technical skills required of tax professionals through two major projects focused on Form 1120 and Form 1065. In Dr. Anna Romanova’s Statistical Methods and Business Research, Business Analytics course, students took on three major projects utilizing real-world data sets connected to the NBA, global life expectancy, and extreme wealth. Creating projects that connect students with scenarios and data that they will experience in their jobs helps to build confidence and clarity in their future work.
“Students analyze measurable variables, evaluate relationships among data points, and interpret
results using analytical and computational tools. The projects emphasize evidence-based conclusions and data-driven problem-solving, which are core competencies in STEM disciplines,” said Dr. Romanova.
MSAA program graduates have gone on to work for companies such as PwC, Ernst & Young, KPMG, Forvis Mazars, Ally Financial, and BNA CPA.
The program operates on a rolling admissions timeline, and applicants who meet professional experience or education requirements can request a GMAT/GRE waiver.
