CAREER CONNECTIONS SPRING 2026 | CASE STUDIES

The Center for Career Development

and Internships (CDI) partnered with the Department of Sociology, Criminology, and Anthropology to host their inaugural Industry Meetup. Students met with professionals from a range of agencies including: the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the City of Rock Hill, the SC Attorney General's Office, and the Mint Museum. Joy Yousefian, hosted a Practicum and Professional Development Lunch and Learn for the Department of Social Work.

Over 30 social work students and 21 practicum agency representatives attended. Agency representatives shared insights on preparing for internships and employ- ment after graduation as well as personal reflections from their educational experiences at Winthrop if they were alumni.
