SCIENTIFIC FACELIFTS IN SIMS AND DALTON CAS celebrates the renovation of Sims
Science Building and Dalton Hall this spring. This project, backed by $9 million in state funding, transformed learning spaces such as classrooms, laboratories, and meeting rooms with more inviting aesthetics and advanced functionality. Department of Chemistry, Physics, Geology, and the Environment, is excited about the improvements. “Faculty and students are loving the renovated lab spaces on the first floor of Sims! Not only are they well laid out and technically state-of-the-art; they’re also beautiful!” Dr. Hope Lima, chair of the Department of Human Nutrition, adds: “The renovations in Dalton have modernized our environment. I love watching students utilize all the updated study spaces.” This two-year process culminates with a
celebration and walk-through of the buildings in conjunction with Bleed Garnet Give Gold (BG3). Former and current members of Winthrop as well as the community are invited to tour the renewed spaces on April 21 .st
