LEADERSHIP NATIONAL BOARD MEET THE NEW The new National Board members took post from 1 September 2025
The role of the National Board is to lead and run the Police Federation and make policy decisions. It is the strategic driver of the organisation and is made up of:
• The Chief Executive Officer - appointed by members of the Board
• The National Chair - elected by members • The National Secretary - appointed by members of the Board
• Individuals elected by the National Council as representatives from across
our eight regions
Each colleague serving on the National Board holds a portfolio of areas of work they undertake on behalf of our membership.
This work typically involves representing our membership with stakeholders including the National Police Chiefs’ Council, Government, police and crime commissioners and the media. Each member of the National Board is also a regional representative, involved in representing both their regions as a whole and individual officers who may need their support.

Mukund Krishna
Chief Executive Officer
As part of the change to bring professional and
independent
support to the senior decision making within the Police Federation of England and Wales, Mukund Krishna was appointed as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of PFEW in July 2023. Mukund has overall responsibility for the day to day running of the organisation and is accountable to the National Board. The remit of the CEO includes delivery of Operation Peridot, the five-year organisational transformation plan launched late last month, in addition to oversight of all functions at headquarters and corporate governance of the organisation.

Tiffany Lynch National Chair Tiff joined Leicestershire Police in 1995. Throughout her policing career, she has specialised in
firearms, tactical support and frontline as a general response and beat officer. Her Federation career started in 2007 with progression to the post of Chair of Leicestershire’s Constables Committee (2011-2014); Chair of Leicestershire Police Federation (2014-2018); and National Board member of the Police Federation of England and Wales (2018-present). Nationally, Tiff has led on conduct and performance and parliamentary
introduction and review of systems, policies, and procedures to ensure the PFEW runs efficiently and effectively, with robust decision making.
