Skip Hunk

Joe Hemsley-Rudd

HE’S a hazardous rapper who loves a joke. Meet our Skip Hunk Stuart Craig Lord from Acorn Waste Management Limited.

Hi there! Tell us about yourself. I’m Stuart Craig Lord and I am 36 years young.

And which fine establishment has the pleasure of your company? I work at Acorn Waste Management Ltd and I am the Hazardous Waste Manager.

Don’t be putting yourself down now, we’re sure you’re not that much of a hazard… boom boom! Tell us more… I have worked here for nearly a year now and I love it. I’m office-based so my day- to-day consists of building my customer base and developing business with them by promoting the wide range of services we can arrange and provide by any means necessary.

Sounds like you like living dangerously. Tell us about something strange that’s happened at work. I once got a really good new customer on board and as I was doing a celebratory dance (I’m talking full-on Step Up film style), the Managing Director walked in. Luckily, she is lovely and saw the funny side but I didn’t live the dance down for a while!

Cringe! Where can we find you when you’re not at work? I mainly spend my free time with my girlfriend (sorry, ladies) and my daughter. I also write and record my music (hip hop/rap – not a gangster so don’t worry). I perform at shows all around the country at Beats & Bars events. I’m a bit of a showman.

Remember us when you’re famous. What’s the craziest thing you’ve done? I remember one time when I was a lot younger, I lost a drinking competition and the loser had to streak through the high street. Yeah, that was very embarrassing…

If you’ve got it, flaunt it. Let’s bestow some superhero powers upon you – what do you fancy? It’s a toss-up between super strength and the ability to use 100% of my brain. Imagine the waste solutions I could come up with – SUPERWASTEINTELLIGENCE MAN!

You really would be saving the world. Tell us a fascinating fact about yourself. Apart from writing my music and performing my songs at events, I also take part in rap battles. Nothing like having an argument that rhymes.

We’d love to challenge you to a rap, unfortunately we’d probably be crap!… Anyway, what three little words sum you up? Comedian, motivated, happy. See what I did there?

Ever met anyone famous? Ross Kemp – I used to work in a bar and he was a guest there, we had an after- party with him (this was back when he was big ‘ard Grant Mitchell in Eastenders). Anyway I got a little bit drunk and ended

up smearing UV gel all over his face. I then spent the rest of the night looking out for Phil or Peggy.

That raises so many questions but best we move on. Hit us with a great joke. What did the pirate say when he turned 80? “Aye Matey”.

I took the shell off my racing snail, thinking it would make him go faster: if anything it made him more sluggish. I could keep going but I will leave it at that!

Well, we all needed a laugh right now and you’ve certainly helped with that. Thanks for being a brilliant Skip Hunk!
