WASTE RECYCLING Maximus rebrands to become RM Dungannon

RUBBLE MASTER has always promoted a company culture that brings people together. ”

LAST month, Irish screen manufacturer Maximus became part of the RM Group in name. This step follows the acquisition of Maximus by RUBBLE MASTER, the Austrian world market leader in Compact Crushing in 2018. The two sites, RM Dungannon as expert in the screening sector and RM Headquarters at Linz as crushing specialist, are now united under one strong, worldwide brand.

Founded in Northern Ireland, the company has been owned by the RM Group since 2018. Tracked mobile screens are produced in Northern Ireland and perfectly complement the RUBBLE MASTER product range. Their

collaboration in recent years has certainly had a positive impact on the sales figures, as shown by a growth of 15% in 2019. “RUBBLE MASTER has always promoted a company culture that brings people together - customers, suppliers and network partners,” said Gerald Hanisch, founder and owner of RUBBLE MASTER. “In recent years this culture has enabled us to exchange knowledge with our location in Northern Ireland, develop and launch new products and expand our expertise in all areas.”

A major focus was put on the restructuring of processes and market and product evaluation. In addition to customer benefits, many synergies

have been employed over the years, such as shared suppliers and increased cooperation in innovation, product management and sales.

The initial partnership with Maximus has evolved much further. Over the last two years, two centres of excellence have emerged - the production site in Northern Ireland as the expert for tracked mobile screens and the production site in Upper Austria as the world market leader for mobile crushers. "We see the rebranding as the next logical step so that we appear on the market as a strong, full solution provider with one brand name - the RM Group," explained Gerald.

ASH Group awarded CMS certification

THE Wrexham-based ASH Group are celebrating following the award of their CMS Management System Accreditation from Lloyd’s Register.

The certificate award is recognition for the Management System in place at each of the operational sites and provides evidence that the ASH Group is competent to operate waste management sites, a key requirement of the Environmental Permits issued by the regulators.

During the two-stage audit undertaken by UKAS-accredited auditors, ASH was required to demonstrate that it has identified and safeguarded against environmental risks, met its legislative requirements, that there are robust internal audits carried out, and that the management and site operatives were aware of the requirements of the Environmental Permits issued for each

32

site, including emergency procedures and limits of activities.

During 2019 and for the second year running, the ASH Group maintained its Band A status for its Environmental Permits. This was achieved by demonstrating compliance with the Environmental Permits issued by the Environment Agency and Natural Resources Wales during several planned and unannounced inspections.

The ASH Group also maintained its ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 certification during the latter parts of 2019.
