ear in a Row!
Congratulations to our spectacular Wolverines at Woodcrest JHS for being named a Microsoft Showcase School three years in a row! Only five schools in CA currently hold this title.
So what does it mean to be a Microsoft Showcase School? It means the Wolverines join a global community of approximately 241 school sites across 57 countries that amplify the use of technology to drive school-wide transformation and efficiencies by using Microsoft 's K-12 Education Transformation Framework.
On December 11, 2019, Woodcrest students participated in an Exploring Technology course where they had the opportunity to attend a Teams Meeting with Microsoft Education Team Members and gain valuable insight into program objectives and roles. After the meeting, students had the chance of applying to be a Microsoft employee for a day!
Mr. Lindsey's science class joined the Global Connection event in a Skype-a-thon where they connected with a class in Indiana. It 's exciting to have CVUSD students connect with students outside of the district - not to mention the state! - to gain invaluable hands-on experience. Keep up the amazing work Woodcrest. Here's to making it four years as a Microsoft Showcase School!
