MTC’S BIG YEAR: RECORDS, CELEBRATIONS, AND NEW BEGINNINGS!


What a year for Midlands Technical College! For the first time since 2017, we broke the 10,000 mark for academic enrollments. 10,073 Mavericks hit the books this fall. Even better, retention jumped by seven percent. That’s serious momentum.


The growth didn’t stop there. Enrollment in our Corporate and Continuing Education programs soared to almost 13,000 – the highest amount in the college’s history. From career changers to lifelong learners, everyone’s leveling up their skills.


2025 was also a year of celebrations. Two commencement ceremonies honored our graduates. In the Spring, there were more than 640 graduates, and there were nearly 500 graduates in the Fall.


In our School of Advanced Manufacturing and Skilled Trades, our academic programs were filled to capacity this year. That equates to nearly 700 students who will propel our region’s economy and power our lives as advanced production technicians, welders, auto mechanics, home builders, HVAC techs, and so much more.


Big numbers, big ideas, and big heart. That is part of what made 2025 unforgettable at MTC.
