Jason Giulietti of Central SC Alliance put it bluntly: “The type of work and the type of companies coming are changing quickly, and we need to adapt. All of them—K-12, technical colleges, four-year institutions—have to be talking to each other in a way that is cohesive and accommodating to companies.”


For Prisma Health’s Veronica Deas, the summit was about collaboration: “[It was great] getting to hear from other industries and educational partners, and really being able to think about how we continue to grow partnerships.”


As Angelle LaBorde of the Lexington Chamber summed it up: “We want better jobs. We want better economic opportunity for our residents and children, so we can continue to live, work, and play here.”


The Midlands Regional Talent Summit wasn’t just a meeting—it was a movement. And if these conversations turn into action, the future workforce of South Carolina will be ready to thrive.
