Number Two Finish in the Nation at SkillsUSA


MTC’s Building Construction Technology team won silver in the SkillsUSA National Leadership & Skills Conference, held in June in Atlanta. The award marked the fourth consecutive year MTC’s building construction team finished in the top three nationally. MTC stands above the rest as the only school in the country to make it to SkillsUSA’s awards podium for building construction the past four years in a row.


To participate in the national competition, all individuals and teams had to earn top honors at SkillsUSA’s state-level competitions. MTC was represented by the following programs at the conference: Building Construction Technology, Carpentry, Welding, Precision Machining, Industrial Electricity, and Web Design and Developer.
