| REGIONAL EVENTS - GET INVOLVED In brief Cambridgeshire Cheshire The Cheshire committee organised a successful lunch at Colshaw Hall. Dinner raises £20,000

CONGRATULATIONS TO ROBERT and Claire Smith (née Brackley) who met through the Cambridge committee and got married in February. Both are very hard working, long standing and generous supporters of the Trust and we wish the happy couple a wonderful future together.

Fred Webb and his guests won the Cambridge quiz night held at Bourne Golf Club. It was full house for this annual event which saw teams pit their general knowledge against each other in a competitive and friendly manner.

50 | GAMEWISE • SUMMER 2017 Mashomack fundraiser F

ifty GCUSA members and friends gathered in March at the Mashomack Preserve Club in Pine Plains NY, to close out the shooting season at GCUSA’s annual winter fundraiser. Crisp weather, variable winds and the skilled club staff all contributed to a morning of challenging and fast pheasant shooting. Afterwards, participants retired to the club’s sun-lit dining room where a

well-stoked fire, gourmet lunch and fine red wines offered a welcome reprieve to field temperatures that struggled to reach 20 degrees. Many thanks to all whose contributions made this event a success.

Upcoming GCUSA events in 2017 include sporting clays at Pawling Mountain Club on Saturday 10 June, the Orvis Game Fair at Sandanona on 16 and 17 September, and
