Retired Standardbreds from four states were show-


cased at T e Great Frederick Fair where more than a dozen Standardbreds competed on September 22 in the second annual All Standardbred Horse Show. “T e Great Frederick Fair is proud to host the All Standardbred Horse Show,” said Jacqui Nigh, the Fair’s sponsorship and marketing director. “What a wonderful way to showcase Standardbreds after their racing careers have ended. It is a natural pro- gression to our commitment to keeping live racing at our facility as a year-round training center and to exhibit to the public during our annual Fair! What a great turn-out this year, the class size was up, the horses looked amazing.” T e show off ered more than 20 classes, including


halter, English pleasure, Western pleasure and hunt- er under saddle among others. T e former racehors- es were also able to showcase their speed in a trio of timed game classes. Participants included a number of former racetrack standouts, including Game Day (2006 , P, 4, 1:50.1Z (2004 , P, 5, 1:51.0M (2006 , T, 8, 1:54.3M (2006 , T, 3, 1:52.1M
