Waredaca Pony Club Riding Center has found great success with OTTBs for their progam that in- cludes riders at the D and C levels competing these horses in eventing, dressage, jumpers and tetrathlon as well as hacking around the farm. Catie Campbell adopted Maryland-bred Your Wife Called through MAHR. He now is a fox hunter that she also schools cross-country with.
Maryland-bred Relentless Lion, pictured here with Theresa Kempczynski and Bev Strauss, recently made the 2215 mile trip from a track in Puerto Rico to MAHR in Warwick where he resting while staff get to know him.
Ashley Hopkins adopted Night Ops through MAHR and is aiming him for this year’s Thor- oughbred Makeover.
Wild River is now owned by Patricia Greene Stew- art who competes in dressage and eventing.
Cripple Creek was adopted through MAHR by Louisa Legato and is now learning to be a show hunter and trail horse.
Brewing Battle was adopted through MAHR in 2015 and is now a low level event and dressage horse with owner Jon Bicho.
Piki Piki Girl is now a champion jumper with new owner Laura Sweeney. She also is a les- son horse, fox hunts and events.
Sarah Laderman adopted Jardin de Giverny through MAHR. The pair are competing in the 3’ hunters as well as Take2 Thoroughbred classes.
Kristan Arrington rescued Wild Pink Boots, who was in foal at the time, from a kill pen in OK. She is now living out her days retired at Arrington’s Maryland farm.
Cindy Gilbert got Beyond the Budget through MAHR last spring. He is now a successful show hunter, dressage horse and fox hunter.
