Mendoza Loor Preps for Sum- mer Olympics


Julio Mendoza Loor and Jewel's Goldstrike won the WEC Dressage CDI3* Grand Prix in February. The pair will compete for Ecuador at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.


Former Marylander Julio Mendoza Loor was in the winner's circle once again with Jewel's Goldstrike on February 15 at the World Equestrian Center (WEC) Dres- sage CDI3*. T e pair earned a personal best score of 74.869% in the Grand Prix in their fi rst major outing since winning the Gold Medal at the Pan American Games last summer. Mendoza Loor heads to Eu- rope in May with Jewel's Goldstrike and their team to prepare for the 2024 Summer Olympic Games in Paris. He plans to show at Weisbaden, Rotterdam and Aachen as fi nal preps for the Games.
