Congratulations to the DePhillip family of St. Mary’s County on their decision to Foster our sweet rescue, Raven. Raven and their daughter Heidi developed a special bond here at SMEM while doing volunteer work for all of our rescues.

Our Foster to Adopt Program gives the family a full year to work with the rescue and then decide if they want to continue with a final Adoption. Heidi is also in a “Lessons with Intention to Adopt Program” in which she takes lessons with our trainer so we can assess if the pair are a good fit before final Adoption.
