ON-SITE, FULL-TIME, RIDING INSTRUCTOR/ASST. BARN MANAGER 2 POSITIONS AVAILABLE


#1 - Beginner riding instructor - for first time riders through beginning canter #2 - Intermediate/Advanced riding instructor - for riders who are already cantering Both positions require teaching, riding, assisting with feeds, vet work, the farrier, clipping, trimming, and help at horse shows, etc. 5-6 days per week. No mucking. $15/hour, plus on-site semi-private rent-free housing (will consider hiring someone who lives off-site). Free board for one personally owned horse.


ASST. CAMP DIRECTORS FOR SUMMER CAMP 2023 - 2 POSITIONS AVAILABLE Experienced equestrians needed to supervise, coordinate counselors, and teach riding and stable management topics to children 7 years and older during our 9-week summer camp program. Serious inquiries only. Continued full-time employment as a riding instructor is possible for the right person after the camp season is over. Complete list of duties, responsibilities and pay to be discussed by phone, followed by an interview.


Must be at least 16 years of age and have previous experience with the Potomac Horse Center. You can work weekends or after school now, to get the experience you need! Supervise and assist campers as they ride, groom, tack, bathe horses, and learn and practice stable management topics, under the direction of the Camp Director, Asst. Camp Director and riding instructors.


CAMP COUNSELORS FOR SUMMER CAMP 2023


WEEKEND AISLE STAFF - SOME EXPERIENCE PREFERRED, BUT WILLING TO TRAIN Saturday and/or Sunday 8:30am-5:30pm, 1/2 or full day. Must be at least 14 years old. Groom, tack, bathe horses, assist the instructors, etc.


Monday-Friday, 1:00pm-6:00pm. Must have some horse-world knowledge (adult clients & parents are easily trained!) Answer phones, interact with clients, process paperwork. Must be proficient in MS Excel and Word. Pay commensurate with experience.
