Black & White

More Black & White Favorites!

WINNER: Amateur photographer Rebecca Lazarus’ photograph “Fortnight” of Obsession MKR tucked un- der her mother’s tail was unanimously chosen at this year’s Black & White winner. Lazarus, who is from Olney, captured a moment in the young filly’s life in a photograph that is full of detail. Te composition is fan- tastic too! Obsession MRK is Maryland-bred by owner Lorie Richards. Te filly is by the Belgian Warmblood stallion Oracle de Reve and out of Kinship.

“Smiling’s My Favorite” by Jess Lears (Gambrills)

RUNNER UP: Catie Greenwell’s (Hager- stown) image “Show Ring Ready” is the Black & White Runner Up. Te image was taken this past May during a Showmanship class at the Rockin’ A Open Show, held at the Carroll Coun- ty Equestrian Center. Te crispness of the photo, the well turned out horse and rider, and the sense of peace and companionship portrayed, made this photo also in the running for cover honors.
