Equestrian Sports

WINNER: “Flying,” taken by Kim Harmon of Frederick beat out 64 images to win the Equestrian Sports category. Kim was actually the runner up of this category in 2019 but wins this year with her image of Nahvia Naylor compet- ing in a poles class at Diamond 7 Ranch and Arena. Te timing and clarity captured in this photograph is stunning with the horse and rider seeming to be suspended in time.

RUNNER UP: Charles Toler shot this photograph “Prayer,” which was another one of our judges’ favorites. Te judges loved the moment of peaceful reflection shown by the jockey and the excite- ment of the horse captured in this photo taken at Chanceland Farm.
