• Assisting at elementary school sites • • Tutoring / mentoring programs • • Convalescent visits / activities •
• Assisting at community special events, food pantries, and family donation programs •
As a Bellflower Volunteer, you can benefit as well. You can learn new skills, meet interesting people, use your unique talents, and have the satisfaction of knowing you have done something worth while for your community. BACK TO SCHOOL
backpack school supplies drive It might be hot out, but before
you know it, school will be back in session! This summer, the Bellflower Volunteer Center is working with community groups, residents, service clubs, churches, schools and organizations to provide backpacks and school supplies to our most needy children in the Bellflower Unified School District. You can help out by providing a backpack, or any of the school supplies that go in it. Donations will be collected at the Volunteer Center and backpacks will be distributed to students prior to the first week of school.

Suggested items* to include: durable backpack, pencil box/bag, pens, pencils, erasers, crayons, colored pencils, markers, paper, dividers, notebooks, binders, glue sticks, rulers, dictionary, etc. *Please include new items only. NOTE: All items must be received by July 1, 2022.
