RISING TO NEW CHALLENGES

Welcome to the second issue of Flourish!

F

illed with stories of residents, team members, clients and friends, this magazine was designed to bring to life the new Landis Communities tagline, Cultivating Life, Together.

But how do you cultivate life and flourish in the midst of a global pandemic? Te word that surfaced to reflect this time throughout Landis Communities is RESILIENCE. We have faced – and continue to face – many unknowns with the coronavirus. But each day, we build resilience as we learn, prepare, communicate, act, and pray…together.

Te Stay at Home order and need to maintain physical distance, both so important in helping slow the spread of the virus, resulted in feelings of loss and isolation for many of us. It is my hope that the following pages will encourage and inspire you with stories of how individuals found ways to help by making face masks, delivering groceries and connecting with loved ones through technology. Tey found purpose despite the pandemic.

But each day, we build resilience as we learn, prepare, communicate, act and pray…together.

Troughout Landis Communities, our primary purpose has been to keep residents, clients and team members healthy and safe. We greatly appreciate those who have supported us in this effort through notes of encouragement, prayers and financial contributions.

Cultivating

Life may look different right now, yet there are still many ways the people of Landis Communities are Cultivating Meaningful Living, Cultivating Wellness, Cultivating Community and Cultivating Growth. I hope you enjoy their stories.

Life, Together

We are grateful for residents of Landis Homes (see pages 6-7) who have cheered on team members as they leave campus after challenging days of work. Personally, I feel thankful and blessed that God gave all of us the gift of being together for a time such as this.

You may see images of individuals not wearing masks. Those photos

taken outside maintained careful social distance. Landis Communities

recommends and follows the three W's: wear a mask, wash your hands, and watch your distance.
