Morrison secures Metering Services Contract extension
Morrison Data Services, a part ofMGroup Services, has secured a four-year contract extension to provide nationwide automated and visual meter reading, and meter data management services on behalf of Edinburgh based water retailer, Business Stream.
Beginning in April 2021, the contract includes the option to extend for an additional two years. The services delivered by Morrison Data Services will represent over 60 per cent of the Business Stream customer portfolio, equating to almost 400,000 customer visits each year.
The award extends the scope of Morrison Data Services’ existing contract with Business
Stream, with meter reading services across its large scale, non-domestic customer portfolio in the Southern Water region now included.

Mark Cox promoted to UK Sales Director at Rioned
With over a decade in drainage equipment sales, Mark Coxhas become a familiar face across the sector; well known for the technical knowledge and clarity he offers Rioned customers. A key player in the growth of Rioned UK, Mark has been instrumental in the development and deployment of new products for regional markets.
With a broader remit to oversee UK sales strategy and growth into new market sectors, Mark’s new role as UK Sales Director will also expand his focus to work in overseas territories as part of Rioned’s global network.
Rioned CEO Jan Pieters said: “Mark has played a major role in the development of Rioned in the UK and brings a profound knowledge of the industry. This, coupled with his positive personality and willingness to go the extra mile, translates into providing the best solutions for our customers. It has been a pleasure working with Mark over many years, and I am delighted that he will now be using his knowledge to help Rioned grow our international business.”
The promotion is a challenge that Mark is excited to take on: “In my 13 years with Rioned, I’ve worked my way up from stores, to sales, before moving into senior sales roles. I’ve seen first-hand how important we are to customers

at every level, and though the company has grown significantly during that time, our ethos of “quality over quantity” has remained the same.”

subsequent take-up across overseas territories: “Rioned is a business where good ideas can be taken into production and released to the market. Our customers are a big influence in that process, and during my time at Rioned I have grown with their businesses.”
He is also looking forward to developing new customers in new markets: “I very much enjoyed assisting my colleagues in the USA at Spartan Tool with the launch of the Rioned/ Spartan range of jetters into the American market. It’s a country I enjoy visiting and hope to spend some more time there soon.”
