WEX Global ‘24 bringing together the world's leading water experts
With a mission to drive radical change and innovation in water and energy, WEX Global will once again bring together some of the leading international experts in this field.
The summit, focused on digitalization as a response to the challenges posed by climate change, water scarcity and the transition to a circular economy, will again be co-hosted by Idrica and will prominently feature the outstanding Xylem Vue platform powered by GoAigua, born from its collaboration with Xylem.
From March 4 to 6, Madrid (Spain) will play host to water and energy experts from all over the world, that have an appointment at WEX Global, one of the most important events in international water and energy, two sectors that together are catalysts for dynamic transformation, as defined by Teresa Ribera, Spain's Minister for Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge, at the opening of the previous edition.
Under the title “Integrated Solutions to Build a Water Positive Future”, WEX Global will investigate the challenges presented by water, energy, and climate change, consolidating itself as the most catalytic forum focused on this topic. In fact, WEX Global has become an unmissable event for experts in both sectors, as evidenced by the figures of previous editions: 18 summits which have brought together thousands of experts from more than 50 countries to take part in hundreds of round tables both as speakers and as delegates.
For this 2024 edition, where once again digitalization will be one of the dominant themes, WEX Global will count, for the second consecutive year, on the Xylem Vue platform powered by GoAigua as it’s “Digital Transformation Partner”. Attendees will be able to learn at first-hand how this remarkably versatile tool works. Idrica will also participate as the co-host of the summit, while Global Omnium will be the “Utility Innovation Partner”.
According to Jaime Barba, CEO of Idrica, "WEX Global is one of the best events thanks to the quality of its participants, who in turn provide a high level of debate and presentations" and Xylem Vue Powered by GoAigua technology will once again play a leading role in this new edition.

WEX Global 2023: The Global Debut of Xylem Vue powered by GoAigua
The last edition, held in Seville, Spain, under the title "Water, Energy and Climate Change. Smart circular solutions to build a better world", was the first event to showcase the Xylem Vue powered by GoAigua platform, which arose from the agreement signed between Idrica and the multinational Xylem Inc and was introduced as the leading sponsor of the event.
With respect to this, Jaime Barba pointed out that this agreement " is the combination of the know-how of water and processes, provided by Global Omnium, the know-how of the digitalization area, provided by Idrica, and the know-how of instrumentation and data science, provided by Xylem".
For his part, Géraud de Saint-Exupéry, Vice president Europe Business Development and Customer Excellence at Xylem Inc, said that this agreement "is a perfect opportunity to combine the years of experience of both companies (Global Omnium and Idrica) in the water and digitization sector, with Xylem's expertise as a supplier of smart equipment, as well as its international presence, to accelerate the adoption of digital technology in the water sector".
