What’s it like on campus at the weekends?
The campuses are fairly quiet at weekends, as nearly all residences are off campus. The library is open every day and provides students with facilities so they can use computers and meet other students.
How safe is the campus and its surrounding
neighbourhoods? At BU we take your safety and personal security seriously and we are committed to providing a safe and secure environment in which you can live and study. It is important that you take simple steps to make sure you stay safe outside campus as well.
View some safety tips and advice Are any programs offered to help students
adjust to college life? A week before classes start, you will be expected to attend the Orientation Week, where you will attend a wide variety of talks to help you familiarise yourself with university life as well as living in the UK.
Additional help is offered by support services to promote wellbeing for all our students. There is a range of services – from our Wellbeing Advisors to our on-campus Medical Centre. Our Residential Assistants live in each of our accommodation blocks to provide assistance to new students and organise events and socials – helping you get used to your new home away from home.
