FULL BODY WORKOUT A REVIEW OF THE CENTRAL LONDON GYM MARKET

CAPITAL GAINS WEIGHT

In the Central London market, the landscape for health and fitness has changed dramatically in recent years.

While it was once dominated by mid-market branded groups such as Fitness First and LA Fitness, the mid-market’s stronghold has weakened with a number of new concepts and operating formats emerging onto the market.

As a result of this diversification the mid-market sector now only represents 19% of the overall London gym market. Instead, the market is now dominated by studio gyms making up 41% of clubs in the capital. However, with average floorspaces of 4,216 sq ft, studio gyms only represent 8% of overall floorspace in the London gym market.
