Bank of America launches mobile personalisation campaign

ank of America has launched a drive to improve the quality of its customer-facing services with new mobile enhancements and updates to its popular mobile app.


The newest mobile enhancements include a mobile dashboard, which is accessible from the home screen. The dashboard feature allows customers to customise tiles to the features they use most, including account balances, card rewards, spending and budgeting tool, FICO Scores, mobile alerts, and Zelle person-to- person (P2P) payments. This one-screen view is designed to help give customers a quick snapshot of their finances in one place.


One of the new initiatives is a goal-setting tool In partnership with Better Money Habits. Customers will be able to create personalised savings goals with names, pictures and target amounts so they can watch their progress along the way and prioritise funds accordingly.


Innovation a top priority


Michelle Moore, head of digital banking at Bank of America, said: “With 23 million mobile customers and growing, improving the customer experience is always a top priority. By taking a customer-first approach to innovation, we continuously raise the bar to deliver new, personalised experiences that make it easier for customers to achieve their financial goals.”


The bankhas also improved the interface to provide a better experience for users when paying online bills. Over the course of October customers will begin to enjoy a streamlined online bill-paying experience that will enable them to more easily and quickly access and pay their bills.


Bank of America is improving its already successful app


Bank of America customers can now start an ATM withdrawal directly from their mobile banking app. Customers log into the app and select the desired amount to withdraw. When they go to the ATM, they can either use their smartphone or debit card, enter their PIN, and a personalised screen will ask the customer if they are there to complete the withdrawal, which eliminates four steps at the ATM.


In addition, new capabilities have recently been added to contactless ATMs, including the ability to check balances, transfer funds, make deposits and credit card payments and, later this month, the ability to change your PIN.


The final part of the new customer drive is the re-launch of Bank of America’s website which will be optimised to ensure that it is easier for the customer to use their mobiles to carry out as many functions as possible.


Danes plug capital as financial hub A


team from the Danish financial sector, headed up by Brian Mikkelsen, the Danish minister for industry, business and financial affairs, has visited London to


promote Copenhagen’s status as a financial hub.


The project is being led by Allan Polack, CEO of PFA, Europe’s fifth-largest pension company. Denmark has total pension assets of around £500 billion.


“Copenhagen has a range of benefits unexplored by the financial community outside the Nordic region,” says Polack. “A broad


cross-section of the Danish financial community has come together to change that.


“Many large banks have already decided where to turn, but there are still a number of players that could find great value in looking to Copenhagen when considering alternatives to London.”


Ulrik Nødgaard, CEO of Finance Denmark, said that it was ready to welcome financial companies with “open arms”. “The financial sector in Denmark is built around customer trust, good products and a high level of data security,” he added.
