The School Prints lithographs were produced in the 1940s to allow school children to experience ‘proper art’. Punch and Judy by L. S. Lowry is one of the most recognisable and sought- after of the series, and we are excited to have discovered a small cache. Very few of these survived being pinned or pasted to classroom walls and this is the first time we have seen the Lowry in mint condition.
