There are no strict rules — just thoughtful food that draws inspiration from global cuisine while using seasonal, locally sourced ingredients. Whether it’s a vibrant Indian dhal, a Mediterranean-inspired salad or a Dominican sancocho prepared with
ayurvedic insight, every dish is crafted with love, health and balance in mind. Wellbeing at Ki-Ra is personalised and entirely
optional. Guests are encouraged to choose their own level of immersion, whether that means doing very little, lounging in a hammock and enjoying the view, indulging in a massage or yoga class or trying a gentle ayurvedic therapy. A full menu of ayurvedic therapies and activities is available, from meditation to mud cleanses, hip baths or ayurvedic cooking classes. Nearby Altos de Chavón — an artist village with
an amphitheatre, art exhibitions and a stunning view of the river — can be reached by boat. Taino caves with pictographs and stalactites are 30 minutes away, while a national park — home to rhinoceros iguanas — lies just 20 minutes from the property. Ki-Ra itself is a haven for local and ayurvedic medicinal plants and an abundance of wildlife.
