Expect huge savings with an air source heat pump
Air source heat pumps have recently become a popular alternative for homeowners upgrading their heating systems
Paul Biddlecombe: “The savings so far have been incredible — the heat pump’s performance is exceeding expectation.”
W
ith considerably lower running costs in comparison to tradi-
tional boilers and other renewable appliances, along with a simple installation process, it’s easy
to
see why air source heat pumps are so popular. Ben Morris of Global Energy leading UK manu-
Systems, the facturer of air source heat pumps,
explains: “Here at Global we work closely with our clients to ensure they get the best heating system for their home. We accurately size the heat pump from our range in order to deliver the best savings over current heating systems, while still delivering comfortable hot water and central heating all year round.”
Serious savings This recently renovated Lancashire manor with no access to mains gas was spending in excess of £4,000 a year running an oil boiler to heat the property. The owner knew that he needed to fi nd a solution that would see large savings. After comparing products, installation costs and savings between a number of diff erent technologies, he found that integrating a Global Energy Systems Caernarfon air source heat pump into the current heating system was by far the most econom- ical choice for the property. Since the installation in spring
2016, owner Paul Biddlecombe has seen huge savings.“I’m extremely
pleased I decided to go with Global Energy Systems air source heat pumps — the savings so far have been incredible and the heat pump’s performance is exceeding all expec- tations.” The air source heat pump alone has met all his family’s heating and hot water needs all year, making the oil boiler redundant. Along with the savings, Global
Energy Systems heat pumps are eligible to receive payments from a Government grant. Over the past year, with initial savings of over 60%, Paul has also received £1,670 in payments. This has provided him with an estimated two and a half year pay-back on the purchase of the air source heat pump and an overall saving in excess of £4,000 a year. The government grant (RHI) will run on this property for seven years leading to a total payment just short of £10,000.
