Meet the icons of the Musée Rodin: a glorious site in the heart of Paris A

short walk from the Eiffel Tower and Les Invalides, the Musée Rodin is a favourite

among Parisians and visitors alike. Auguste Rodin — the father of modern sculpture — created this museum himself, and his most iconic works have been displayed here for over a century. Te Musée Rodin is located in the

former Hôtel Biron, a jewel of Parisian rococo architecture. It’s surrounded by nearly 7.5 acres of Jardins à la Française, allowing nature to show- case Auguste Rodin’s bronze sculp- tures and creating the ideal spot for a romantic stroll. Visitors from around the world come

here to marvel at world-renowned masterpieces, including Te Tinker and Te Kiss, as well as to discover the artist’s creative process.

Hôtel Biron, arranged in chronolog- ical order on the ground floor and first floor. Clay models alongside plaster,

bronze and marble sculptures show how the artist’s creative process evolved throughout his life. Rotundas featuring antique boise-

ries (carved wall panels) and rooms bathed in natural daylight make it a superb setting for Rodin’s works.

The Sculpture Garden, a subtle communion of sculpture & nature Set against a backdrop of the Eiffel Tower and Les Invalides Dome, the Musée Rodin‘s Sculpture Garden symbolises the perfect harmony between nature and sculpture. As you stroll through this expansive garden, bronze masterpieces greet you, framed in the light and beauty of each changing season. Here, you can admire Te Tinker, Te Kiss, Te Gates of Hell, the Monument to Balzac and Te Burghers of Calais, not to mention the Marble Gallery, dedicated to the sculp- tor’s works in this noble material.

A unique business model In 1916, one year before his death, Auguste Rodin donated all his works, property and copyrights to the French state, on condition that the Hôtel Biron was turned into a museum. Tis dona- tion was the founding act of the Musée Rodin, forever uniting an exceptional venue with the masterpieces of the famous sculptor.
