Kids start planning their Christmas lists long before even the over-eager high street shops, and as Helen Warwick discovers, it pays to be organised. Here’s her pick of the best gifts for you little ones this Noelle


We’ve only just binned our Halloween pumpkins yet the spectre of Christmas already looms large — with reminders popping up in shop window displays and festive adverts fl ashing before our eyes on the TV. The truth is, though, that most kids will have written up a Christmas list while the summer holidays were still in full swing. Are you one of those super- organised parents whose presents are under the tree months before the big day? The big players, like John Lewis, Amazon and Argos, do the hard work for you, scouring their stock for the items they believe will be most coveted by children. Just don’t leave it too late, or else the top toys will have fl own off the shelves weeks or even months before the 25th.
