Kendal Mountain Festival 2020

WHY:


Since the cancellation of most social events, the light at the end of the social dis-tancing tunnel is that, at the time of writing, Kendal Mountain Festival (KMF) is still on the cards. The team is working hard to ensure that, come November, it will be in the position to offer: “Four glorious days celebrating adventures big and small and share our joint love for mountains and the wonderful outdoors.”


WHAT:


While all the details are still being finalised, the 2020 KMF will still deliver the brilliant experience that it is known across the nation for. Hundreds of film screenings and premieres The KMF team is exploring several options and it could well end up being a hybrid of digital and live content and interactions.


A message from the KMF team:


We are optimists and as such we are eager to keep the Festival as a live event with-in our town to maintain support for the Kendal community we love so dearly. We will continue to monitor the situation and should it not be entirely safe to run our Festival in the way we normally do, we will be as resourceful, flexible and as sen-sitive as possible to ensure we can still deliver a brilliant 'Kendal’ experience for you.


We believe the best therapy for physical and mental health is the great outdoors and with this in mind we are liaising with the OIA and other relevant organisations to forge new channels of engagement. We will of course keep in touch with you over the coming weeks and months as we work together to navigate these difficult times.
