Ryanair Welcomes Malta Court Action to Fine Rowdy Passenger €2,000
RYANAIR has praised the Malta court’s decision to convict a passenger who caused a disturbance on flight FR5205 from Cologne to Malta on 22 March by smoking onboard and disregarding crew instructions. The passenger pleaded guilty and was fined €2,000. In a statement, the airline said: “Ryanair is dedicated to ensuring that all passengers and crew enjoy a safe and respectful travel environment,
free from unnecessary
disruptions caused by a small number of unruly individuals. The airline maintains a strict zero tolerance policy towards passenger misconduct and will continue to take measures against disruptive behaviour, prioritising the comfort of the majority of passengers who travel without incident.”
A spokesperson for Ryanair commented: “It is unacceptable for passengers, many of whom are traveling with young families, to endure unnecessary disruptions due to one person’s unruly behaviour. Ryanair fully supports the Malta court’s decision to impose a €2,000 fine on the passenger
