HAYS TRAVEL CELEBRATES 5 YEARS IN NORTHERN IRELAND
Celebrating five years of Hays Travel in Northern Ireland
HAYS Travel is proud to celebrate its fifth anniversary in Northern Ireland this year, after bringing its travel expertise to high streets across Northern Ireland in 2019.
The local, friendly and knowledgeable teams in Hays Travel’s 24 banches across Northern Ireland, deliver outstanding customer service and share their passion for travel – with the Abbey Centre branch no exception. Located inside the the large indoor shopping centre, just 6 miles from Belfast City Centre, Hays Travel sits alongside the 70 plus stores all under one roof – the perfect location for its expert and approchable team to offer the best choice of holiday destinations, activites and deals. Kimberley Fortune, branch manager of Hays
Travel Abbey Centre, said: “As a store, we are proud to celebrate an incredible five years of growth and success. We’ve gone from strength to strength, establishing ourselves as Northern Ireland’s largest UK travel agent. Over the past few years, we have successfully launched ten exclusive cruise charters, all departing directly from Belfast to the Caribbean. “We are excited about the future, particularly
expanding our team and operations here at Abbey Centre. With strong interest already for summer 2025 and 2026, we are looking forward to an outstanding peak season ahead.” As well as taking excellent care of customers,
Hays Travel
is commited to supporting the communtites where it operates – with each Hays branch receiving an annual £500 budget for charity work in their area. Of this, £200 is earmarked for charities that support young people’s mental health, while the other £300 can be used on charities chosen by the branch. Earlier this year, Hays Travel agents in
Northern Ireland raised more than £18,000 for an autism charity, when the country’s 24 branches clubbed together to raise money for charity partner Austism NI. The branches raised a total of £9,594, much of which was then match funded by the Hays Travel Foundation, resulting in a total of £18,666. Nicola Allison, Hays Travel Regional Sales
Manager for Northern Ireland, said: “I’m so proud of our amazing teams across Northern Ireland who have rallied together and worked so hard to raise as much money as possible for this fantastic charity who do vital work to support our autistic community.” Nicola was also in the news more recently, after being awarded the NI Travel
Industry and Award
2024 - the top accolade at the Northern Ireland Travel
Tourism
Awards, held at the Slieve Donard Hotelon Friday 11 October.
Hays
Nicola has spearheaded Travel’s
growth
for the past five years, contributing significantly
to its
expansion, and position today as the country’s largest independent travel agency. After the collapse of Thomas Cook, Nicola was instrumental in the transition to the Hays Travel brand, and
is proud that her Northern Ireland region has achieved top regional status in the Hays Travel network. Speaking about her award, Nicola said: “It’s thanks to the effort and resilience of our Hays Travel colleagues, and the many colleagues who joined us from Thomas Cook, that we were able to care for our customers during lockdown, and were here to help them travel again, as soon as the restrictions were
lifted.” Jonathon Woodall-Johnston, Chief Operating Officer of Hays Travel, said: “Nicola’s award win was a shining moment of the night, made even more special by sharing it with her closest supporters. The joy on her face reflected how much this achievement meant, not just for her, but for everyone who had been part of her journey. Congratulations Nicola.”
