FOR Northern Ireland holidaymakers, Cancun & Florida will now be just a 10 hour direct flight away with TUI, with weekly departures throughout the summer 2025 season for both destinations. The NI Travel News team caught up with local travel agent Paula McAreavey from Terra Travel to find out what Cancun and Florida has to offer holidaymakers. “The new direct flights to Cancun will make it easier for holidaymakers to experience the perfect combination of relaxation and adventure that Mexico’s Caribbean Coast has to offer,” said Paula. “Whether it’s lounging on
the beach, exploring ancient ruins, or diving into crystal-
clear waters, this new route opens up a whole new world of possibilities for Northern Ireland’s travel lovers.”
Why Cancun?
“Cancun is one of Mexico’s top tourist destinations,” she said. “Nestled on the Yucatán Peninsula, this coastal gem is the gateway to the Riviera Maya and is known for its perfect beaches,
ancient
Mayan ruins, and luxurious resorts. The surrounding area is a haven for water sports enthusiasts,

and those wanting to explore the region’s rich history and culture,” she added.
TUI will also offer direct flights to Florida again for 2025.
