Board of Directors Election Results to be Announced at Conference & Expo

T

he election process is underway for three seats on the Investment Casting Institute Board of Directors. At press time, the results were not yet tabulated and winners are expected to be announced at the Institute’s 61st Technical Conference and Equipment Expo in Covington, KY Oct. 5-8. In accordance with the Constitution and By-Laws of the

Investment Casting Institute, two Regular Members and one Affiliate Member resign by rotation each year. As part of the nomination process, Member company

representatives are asked to nominate a candidate of the same Membership classification. Regular Member companies (foundry members) nominated two candidates for two positions, while Affiliate Members (supplier members) nominated four candidates for one position. The two Regular Member representatives who have been nominated are John Marcin of Pratt and Whitney and Al Torok of Precision Propeller Industries, Inc. As there are only two nominees to fill two vacancies, no election will be

necessary and the nominees are automatically elected to serve as Directors for the upcoming term. The four Affiliate Member representatives who have been nominated are Dave Bakshi of Remet®

Julie E. Markee of Key Process Innovations, Jeffrey Rich of MPI, Incorporated and Nipendra (Nip) P. Singh of S&A Consulting Group LLP. A ballot for the Affiliate position was sent to Affiliate

company representatives who responded via mail. Results were then sent to the law offices of Price, Meese, Shulman & D’Arminio where Michael K. Breen, ICI Legal Counsel performed the tabulation. Results will be delivered by the Institute’s Executive Director, Joseph E. Fritz at the Institute’s 61st Technical Conference and Equipment Expo in Covington, KY. Newly elected directors will assume their roles at the January meeting of the board of directors in 2015.
