At the Midway location, Ceradyne has a research group that focuses on the investment casting application. They developed WDS, the fi rst engineered shell system; HP polymer and co-developed WEDS 3 and Gray Matter 2 with Nalco. Ceradyne distributes Nalco colloidal silica, DuPont zircon, Christy Minerals alumino-silicates.
