Institute Presents Four Intern Scholarship Awards at 61st Conference and Expo
F
our university students who completed internships with Member companies received scholarships at the Investment Casting Institute’s 61st Technical Conference and Equipment Expo.
Three of the $2500
awards were funded by the Institute and the fourth by the late Hank Harvey and his widow Laurie. Harvey, the former president of Tech Cast LLC and a long-time member of the Institute’s Board of Directors, was instrumental in the development of the scholarship program. Scholarship awards are based on academic performance,
work quality, experience and the expressed desire to pursue a career in the investment casting industry. Awards went to Taylor Thornhill, Kyle Glenn Ragan,
Marissa Viscomi and Ian Walters. The scholarship program addresses a strategic goal of the Institute to encourage more graduates to work in the investment casting industry.
Institute Executive Director
Joseph Fritz noted it benefits students, member companies and the industry at large.
