Call for Papers for the ICI's 71st Conference
This is a CALL FOR PAPERS for the 71st Technical
Conference & Expo, to be hosted by the Investment Casting Institute at the Baird Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, October 20 - 23, 2024. To be considered for this year’s Technical Conference, papers should adhere to the following criteria: • The paper must be technical in nature and not a sales pitch. (Commercialism of any kind will not be accepted).
• The paper should represent a collaboration with or data from a foundry where the topic of discussion has been applied.
• Co-present with or reference to a foundry by name in your paper and presentation is required.
Abstracts are due no later than February 1st, 2024. Papers should address technical advancements, cost reduction, improved quality or continuous improvement techniques that
enhance competitiveness. Of greatest interest are technologies and methods that will have an immediate impact on a foundry operation or that will make casting manufacturers more competitive. The ICI also seeks papers from suppliers for the “How It’s Made” category.
Foundry collaboration on “How
It’s Made” presentations are not required. All papers should be prepared and presented in English. For details, visit Technical Paper Guidelines at

Webinar: 2023 Year in Review...

This webinar will review 2023 ICI events and highlights throughout the year. It will address upcoming events and programs for 2024. Executive Director Joseph Fritz takes a look back on 2023 in his annual “Year in Review” highlighting ICI events and 2023 offerings. Joe will also be talking about the things that did not work and lessons learned. Viewers are encouraged to bring their ideas for what they would like to see in 2024 and offer their thoughts on how the ICI can improve its current Member offering. Members Only are invited with compliments of the ICI to this webinar which will be held on the Microsoft Teams platform.
