Product/Services: The Orton Foundation provides independent thermal, mechanical and physical property testing of ceramic materials. Well known for its pyrometric cones, Orton also supplies various calibrated shrinkage devices (TempTABS, TempCHEKs and PTCR rings) that measure heat work (temperature and time at temperature). These devices are especially helpful in preheat furnaces and where traveling thermocouples may be impractical to use on a routine basis yet quality standards dictate a need to understand the thermal dynamics inside your furnace.
