doctorate from The Ohio State University, where he taught foundry practices while studying for his doctorate.

The name

“BIMAC” is a combination of each man’s name: “Bill” and “Mac.” These two men recognized an opportunity to bring innovation to the precision casting industry, and began producing castings in a new, state-of-the-art foundry, located in a rented building on Montgomery Street in Dayton, Ohio.

By 1967, the business had grown

and moved to its current location at 3034 Dryden Road in Dayton. During early years, the majority of BIMAC’s business was making ferrous and non- ferrous castings for General Motors plants, machine shops in Dayton, and

various manufacturers’ assembly lines. As business continued to grow, BIMAC began producing castings for many different industries, including aerospace and the military, throughout the United States.
