The music industry served up a host of memorable moments in 2025, from key awards ceremonies to epic chart results and much more besides. 1. The Music Week Women In Music Awards returned in October for a sold-out extravaganza at the JW Marriott Grosvenor House London that attracted superstar artists, leading executives and game-changing campaigners. Pictured here are: a) The winners and Roll Of Honour inductees united for one huge shot. b) Inspirational Artist winner FKA Twigs alongside her special guest presenter, Skunk Anansie legend Skin. c) Girls I Rate founder Carla Marie Williams brought her Mentor Me Music Week feature to life for a special video series in which she interviewed a range of artists and executives about their careers, including Leigh-Anne. 2. a) Charli XCX managers Twiggy Rowley and Sam Pringle of Project Gold took home the Manager Of The Year honour at the Music Week Awards 2025. b) Things got a bit rowdy behind the scenes at the Music Week Awards when BBC Radio 6 Music reclaimed the crown of Station Of The Year. 3. Ezra Collective won Group Of The Year at the BRIT Awards. 4. Sam Fender celebrated winning the 2025 Mercury Prize for his third album, People Watching, with his band at Newcastle’s Utilita Arena.
