2. It Takes Two: Enhancing Safety By Integrating Flight Operations and Ground Handling


Does inadequate communication between flight and ground teams pose a costly threat to your operation? In this joint IS-BAH/ IS-BAO education session, you’ll learn about unexpectedly common financial and safety risks you may never have considered – and how to thwart them through an integrated approach between ground handlers and aircraft operators. Accidents and incidents involving human error often are symptomatic of larger process control shortcomings. These include cryptic human / machine interfaces, software written for the wrong requirements, training deficiencies and lean process cost-cutting, among other factors that can impair or prevent desirable safety and security outcomes
