In this session, we will explore simple tips, tricks and techniques used in determining the causes of an unfortunate incident and how to use them to prevent it from happening again. From minor mistakes to full scale accidents, the methodology is similar and repeatable by every size and scope of operation.


2. Why Aviation Medical Training Is Important in the Air AND in The Hangar


What skills are needed to recognize potential hazards found specifically in the hangar environment? How can a company mitigate those hazards? And what it takes to treat a medical or traumatic injury in the first 10 minutes until help arrives? The presentation will review these topics, including the need for CPR/ AED certification of ground crews, tips for using the automated external defibrillator, and common medical issues or traumatic emergencies that can occur in the hangar environment. Real-life case studies will be reviewed to emphasize the importance training and policies that will equip your ground crew with the same life- saving skills as your flight crew.
