that are conducted in large part on virtual machines such as computers, tablets and cell phones, the aircraft maintenance business is one where it is pretty much impossible to work from home! With the exception of perhaps recordkeeping, aircraft maintenance requires hands-on care. That means that, at least at the time of this writing, aircraft mechanics around the country are being encouraged to come to work — but are being asked to stay home if they exhibit any signs of cold/flu. The result is an inevitable shortage of skilled help to get the jobs done that are currently in the hangar and on the books. But who knows what the future is going to bring at this point? Our economic landscape is changing from day to day as COVID-19 wreaks havoc with our lives and our businesses. Still, we have the need to learn and communicate — and at D.O.M. magazine, that’s what we do best. Despite the reduction of face to face contact as a result of meetings, cancelled trade shows and reduced


travel, we remain committed to helping our readers, clients and their customers stay connected. Regardless of the many challenges ahead, our publishing schedule remains intact for 2020.
